What is photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis is process by which light energy is converted into chemical energy. Becasue of photosynthesis, the plants, some bacteria and protistans use the energy from sunlight to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the “fuel” used by the all the living things. The conversion of unusable sunlight energy into useable chemical energy, is associated with the actions of the green pigment chlorophyll. Most of the time, photosynthesis process use water and release the oxygen that we absolutely must have to stay alive.
